FYI - found a website for those with a heavy foot!

I'm not sure they update the site completely - the info on the ONE trap in my area is from 2011.

And I'm also not sure I entirely buy into the speeding concept. Yes, I used to like to drive fast but I was able to control myself - I would do it at 4 in the morning on a long, straight stretch of highway - not during rush-hour down Main Street.

Everyone thinks they're Mario Andretti, or worse, NASCAR drivers - they "draft" 3 inches from your bumper, then blow the horn and curse if you aren't going 90MPH. They have no strength or power in their day-to-day lives so they make up for it with their powerful cars.

Pathetic, when you think about it ...

I know a lot of the speed traps in the area where I live, the cops always try to hid with their radar guns pointed. I'm not a big speeder anyway, but I know where to be extra careful, easy to go over the limit on a routine day.

I only posted that after two different people in my local area told me they got tickets this week for going TWO miles over the posted speed.

I was always under the impression that a 2MPH differential was not admissible in court - that 5MPH was the lower limit.

Perhaps I was wrong, or technology has advanced a bit more.

As always with these stories we have to wonder what actually happened. The ticket shown above also references "failure to keep right"; maybe the officer got a lot of attitude from the driver and just started throwing the book at them.
