Gasoline Prices

I've noticed the gas prices have been going up. Last one I saw was 2.99 per gallon. I bought some about a week ago but didn't look at the price then.

What's the price for gasoline where you are?

Gas today is 2.89 a gallon, Midwest, but it varies in locations. When I was a kid gas it was .29 cents a gallon.. Holy Moses!

The price of gas is supposedely a supply and demand equation. But I never understood why gas prices rise in summer. It is because we are driving a lot more in summer? This never made much sense to me. If I'm making flumsterns, and I get a profit of $10 for ever flumstern I sell, selling more of them would seem to be a good thing. Considering that gas producers have been doing so for a good century, now, they should be aware of the annual market adjustments, and can regulate their costs and projections so that summer price raises aren't an excuse for greed.

This morning the lowest price I saw was $209.9 for regular which I call $2.10 because giving the price in tenths of a cent is ridiculous and should be against the law.

We're hovering between $2.20 and $2.25 in central Missouri. I agree about this 1/10th of a cent nonsense....does anyone think they are saving anything with that price? Additionally, I think the government should begin to phase out the Penny....it costs almost 2.5 cents to make a penny.
