Gasoline Prices

The price at the station I usually use was $2.20 for regular this morning.

That's equivalent to 28 cents in 1966.

In 1966 I was driving a 1962 Dodge Polara convertible with a 361 cubic inch engine and a 4 barrel carburetor that got an avergae of 12 miles per gallon on Hi-test that cost me 33 cents a gallon.

Today I'm driving a 2009 Honda Accord with a 2.4 liter (about 146 cubic inches) engine that gets an average of 25 miles per gallon on regular.

Therefore to me, gas is cheap these days.
