It was tried some years back with a much larger ship and still didn't work - the aggressors are ruthless

Harsh. The media labeling them as "activists" is done to demonize them to many. Bringing attention to the horrific conditions in Gaza is good work. The language used to label them is heinous.
I don't see the term as harsh. The action they have taken was always doomed from the start but good on them for stepping up and drawing attention to an horrendous situation. They are modern day martyrs and their action is praiseworthy.

Greta Thunberg was lucky to get out unscathed.
I agree that she took a very big risk when she embarked on this mission to keep the plight of Gazan civilians front and centre in the media. Her celebrity status (?) was her shield but was no guarantee that she would not now be in an Israeli prison. If the ship had made it to shore she probably would be at this moment.

The fact that Greta Thunberg is part of this tells me all I need to know. Conditions would not be so horrible in Gaza if Hamas didn‘t first commit heinous crimes. Hamas is Evil. Greta Thunberg is a school dropout who believes her own press. She needs a spanking.
Hamas certainly has a lot to answer for but creating famine by cutting off food and water to everyone in Gaza is a war crime. Deliberately starving children is inexcusable. It is truly the beginnings of genocide.

Just as Turkey starved the troublesome Armenians early in the last century, Israel is inflicting starvation on the civilians in Palestine. It was and never is OK to do this, no matter what the provocation.

I used to be a supporter of the cause of the Israelis but over time I have seen their moral superiority in war decay like rotting timber. And, in case anyone is thinking that I am antisemitic, I am not. I am simply referring to the Israeli government. I do not hate Jews.

And such is a nefarious nature of language. Use of the word isn't just a literal interpretation, it's the various associations to it, which is a psychological in nature.
