General trouble on WWW, last 24 hours

@MACKTEXAS posted yesterday about difficulties getting onto SF, and several others (me included) responded as having similar experience. Today I have to wonder about some general internet malaise. My frustrations yesterday turned out to include more than logging on and moving around within SF. I had lots of trouble with my internet-banking account, and have still have that this morning. Plus extreme slowness or non-response refreshing some pages for a variety of sites that I had open as tabs—on two different browsers—puzzles me.

I went through the often helpful procedures: cleaned out the cache in both browsers, restarted my computer... nah, hasn't done the trick. Not that I have a great technical understanding of the internet, but is this situation "local" to some portion of it? How's it going for you? I'll be grateful for feedback.

(Wishing everyone a good day.)

Yesterday a site I was ordering from kept insisting I was entering my debit card number incorrectly.
I wasn’t!
It accepted my credit card and with next day delivery what I ordered has arrived.
No idea what was going on there.
And there’s no problem with the debit card because I’ve used it to order my monthly supermarket shop today.
Had no issues getting on here though although I have had a few times in the past.

@JBR, I feel your frustration. Matrix replied regarding my specific post you're referring to from last night in case anyone missed his explanation about difficulties accessing this particular site.

Yesterday afternoon, I was researching electric plans and had multiple windows open, and multiple browsers, which also may have contributed to me having trouble accessing this site. Today, I've not had any problems accessing the SF site or other sites, except for my Outlook email a/c, but that particular problem has been going on at least a week.

Clearing my cache has never helped me.

If I encounter any new issues, I'll update this thread with a follow up post.

Thanks.

I've not had a web-wide issue at all.... but very early this morning, it was "access denied" for SF and the website that tells if a site is down for everyone said it was a server down for SF.

If I'm having connectivity issues I like to run Speed Test to see what's going on between my Gateway and the internet.
