DS popped in after his work last evening, Got rid of trash and grocery bags for me.
Right now, it's thundering pretty heavy, very dark out, will be pouring any minute.
Lentil soup simmering on the stove.

I can't believe the close time proximity to yours,
BUT, our skies got very dark about 15 minutes ago, and it's pouring, with rumbles in the background.

I thought there would be a few hours for a storm to get from you to me.

Unless perhaps it is a very wide spread out storm and moving slowly.?
