Gentle posts for gentle folks

@RadishRose Good luck for your appointment on the 11th. I will be thinking of you. Let us know how it goes.
@Kaila I didn't believe in PT until I had to use it and got great results. I am happy that you are getting better thanks to the PT and your hard work and determination. I admire your positivity.
Here is today's picture. Have a great Sunday Kaila and friends.

Good morning and Good afternoon, on Monday,
to each one of you.
☺️🥰☺️🥰☺️🥰

I didn't sleep well overnight, which is definitely not doing my daytime any good. 😟

Some emotional issues are weighing on my heart and mind.
I'm doing the best I can, and hoping that I will actually sleep, later this afternoon when I take my rest. Sleep helps coping.

I'm watching the wild birds at our feeder outside the window.
Goldfinches are partly their summer colors with patches still, of their winter dark ones.
@Medusa loves goldfinches. I hope that she'll be dropping in sometime soon, to let us know how she and her family are doing.

I am also seeing Eastern Bluebirds, and am thankful that they've returned, this year!🐦🐦🐦🐦🐦

P.T. is tomorrow morning.

Good morning everyone, lovely sunny start to the day here in my corner of the world . Washed my hair so I look reasonably presentable now. Bedding also washed and on the line drying.

Waiting for Rocco.... didn't managed to get him to walk yesterday, but I'll perseverse! He's like a toddler than hasn't been set any boundaries at home and likes his own way. He's better behaved here at my house with just the two of us.... except for the walking, or not walking in his case. :sneaky:

Hope you have caught up on some sleep, @Kaila. Good luck with the PT. 🤗

My p.t. starts a bit later this morning, so I've stopped by here to say hello to all of you.
I'm having more to eat and hoping for energy and stamina.
I'll get ready and go, soon anyway.

@Pam
I wonder about carrying Rocco to some spot outdoors, and letting him walk back to your place?

Perhaps a short distance at first and then a bit farther each day, unless it's not a good idea. It just popped into my mind. 😊😁

I wish I could wash my hair and bedding, today. 😄
That's beyond my stamina at this point.

Good morning, to all of you!🤩🥰

Hooray! I got my mouse back.

I don't even want to say how stupid the problem was. But I could only paste images from my computer not from the Internet and navigating with the touch pad was so weird.

Today two ladies came to check out my condo to do a deep clean. My grandson and his wife arranged for it. They're very nice; the cleaner's name is Carmen and she was with her grown daughter so the deep clean will include my kitchen cabinets, the refrigerator, countertops, floors, entryway and the living/ dining area.

Will be vacuuming everything; the upholstery, dusting and polishing all wooden things moving out my plants so they could vacuum behind, and they're going to shampoo the carpet in the living dining area. It hasn't been done in several years.

Then upstairs just the one bedroom and the hallway and the upstairs bathroom. I guess I don't know then after that I think I will have her come once a month to do floors and vacuuming cause it's difficult for me especially since I think I'm gonna have surgery. I don't know.... everything's up in the air but somehow I'll get organized.

So Kaila today you're going for more pt ,like I said I'm so happy that you got a good place to go to and you seem so positive. I really admire that. How's your husband doing?

@Medusa where have you been? Are you still sick you poor thing! I hope you feel better very soon. Everyone; I hope you have a fabulous day and it's almost noon and I'm hungry for brunch so I'm going to go find something to eat.... love to you all!

@Pam, Thanks for the picture of Rocco I'm so happy to see him.

You know that idea that Kaila said about carrying him to the end of wherever you want him to go and then walking him back on the leash, might be a good idea or taking him in the car a short distance I don't know ...... I was afraid he'd be too heavy but I still think it's a good idea to get him one place and then have him walk back from there let us know how it goes.

Thank you @RadishRose for asking about Rocco. He's being very stubborn at the moment and refusing to walk any distance from the house, he just lies down and refuses to move. If my son and his partner take him out in the car to fields or beach etc then he'll happily walk and run but if they get his lead out to take him around the streets or to the nearby abbey then he hides under the table.:sneaky: When he's at my house, he doesn't run away and lets me put the lead on but will only walk to the end of the street then refuses to go any further. Oh well.... I'll keep trying...wish me luck.
Check Rocoo’s paws. If he runs on the beach or fields, there may be something about the sidewalk that is causing pain. A sliver or a small growth?

learning how to navigate using the touch pad and the down keys on my lap top in the up key it's very difficult for me.
I HATE touch pads.

@Medusa, I’m missing you too.

@Kaila, counting on you to behave and get better.

I'm very glad that you got your mouse, so that you can use your computer the way that's best for you and that you're used to.
I'm sure it isn't stupid, but I knew what you meant.

That's great that you're going to have some help with getting your home cleaned better, and with less wear and tear on yourself!
And like you said, that's especially helpful since you'll be having the surgery, which will have enough challenges. Let's get that behind you, with some supports for your healing, all in place.

I love that photo of the peonies, with each petal, being washed by a gentle rain.

I too, would sure love to hear from @Medusa
Hopefully sometime soon.

We had unusual weather today, with moment to moment changes between rain or snow or mix, and clouds, with a few quick peaks of sun. The wet snowflakes stuck to the tops of grass, till it melted away.
What version did you get, South of here, @RadishRose

Good morning, to all of you!🤩🥰

Thanks for the suggestion re Rocco. Unfortunately, I don't have a car and because of my rotator cuff injury I can't carry him. He's always been a bit of a stubborn dog regarding walking but not as bad as this. I have spoken to my son and his partner as I was concerned about him not getting any exercise at the moment when he's here but they have told me not to worry. They will make sure he gets the exercise he needs. I won't be attempting to take him out today anyway as I'm expecting a parcel delivery. However, youngest son finishes work early today and is coming here... mmm... maybe I'll ask him to try and take Rocco out. :sneaky: 🐶

Hello to all of you, on Wednesday late afternoon.☺️

I made it to P.T., yesterday, but wasn't up to a usual session, due to this week's sleep troubles, and my stubborn overall medical conditions. 😕

It was still a worthwhile accomplishment to get there, and the physical therapist had some good ideas on how to adjust and proceed.👍

There's a lot about sensory cues and neuro processing that my brain wasn't doing well, in addition to other medical conditions, and strength and balance, etc.... all playing a part.

I wish it could be faster but I am very thankful that this particular place seems to comprehend the type of challenges I am facing, including my attempts to do more of the household tasks and all while helping my husband with his conditions.

He's doing pretty well at this time, considering. About 4 different specialists now, and new medications, which all require changes in our daily lives.
There's a lot for both of us to adapt to.

I guess sometimes instead of full speed ahead,

life puts speed bumps in front of us, and caution/hazard signs, all along our route.😌

P.S.
For @CallMeKate and any others of you, who might be thinking that I said above that I am stubborn;
I wrote that my complex medical conditions are, not me!🙂🙃😊😂😁

Good morning everyone. Hope you managed a better sleep, @Kaila. 🤗

@RadishRose - hope all goes well with your appointment. Also hope your grandson and great grandson have improved. There's a stomach bug doing the rounds here which my eldest son came down with last week. He's over it now but youngest grandaughter started with it a few days ago. She's over the worst and just feeling a bit weary now.

Now for Rocco news....yesterday we went on two, yes two! walks. First one we walked round the park for about 45 minutes then a shorter walk around the streets in the afternoon. Fingers crossed he'll go out today.🤞
