Gentle posts for gentle folks

Oh gosh, my thanks and gratitude to each one of you.

Those mornings posts are so helpful for me, today. Each and every one of them, very thoughtful and full of warmth.

Yesterday my p.t. session was good. It continues to amaze me, how they can help me with this very slow process I am trying to accomplish.

We walked a few steps on some uneven surface. Very emotional.

However, After that in the afternoon,
some difficult things happened, (neighbors husband died)
as well as an unexpected stressful phone call, plus a new financial hurdle For me. It was a stressful day and feels sad, this morning,
But with all of your support, I am trying to carry on today.

Thank you.

Good evening. Pleased your pt session was good @Kaila but sorry this was followed by a sad/stressful day.

I've finally got off my backside and done a bit of housework. As well as feeling lethargic (much better now) I've been glued to the TV this past week watching the World Snooker Championships but, as my friend is calling round tomorrow morning for a coffee and catchup. I thought I'd better do a quick clean up. Had to wait until Rocco had gone home though as he only gets in the way by barking at the sweeping brush etc.

Your schedule is exactly what I am doing! 😁

Hello, friends.
We are doing alright, here. I wasn't able to accomplish the short errand I'd planned for today, did not have the strength or stamina at all.
I had to accept that, as we all have to, when necessary.

I changed tomorrow's plan so that husband has another dependable ride for his doctor appointment, (Thursday) and I will hope to then be able to use my own strength to go to my own doctor appointment on Friday, this week.

I'm hoping to manage to eat some very simple soup, this evening, and to sleep with healing sleep, tonight.
I hope that for each one of you as well!
🥰 ☺️🥰

The delightful tulips outside my window, have started to open today, along with the daffodil varieties we'd planted years ago.
(y)🌷🌞🌷🐦🌷

Good morning, everyone. Another beautiful start to the day here. I've been awake since about 5 am so done a few little jobs before I start to wilt! It's refuse collection day so I put the bins out and checked my plant pots. I don't have a garden, just a small concreted yard in which I have tubs/troughs etc. Unfortunately, a neighbour's cat has taken a liking to one of those troughs, using it as a toilet. It just happened to be the one in which I'd planted bulbs and it had dug some of them up. I was a bit sad because they were bulbs that my friend had bought me for my birthday. I re-planted them and am keeping fingers crossed that some may survive.

However, I was determined to solve the problem (by humane means I hasten to add as I am by no means a cat hater!) had a google for info and apparently cats are meant to be deterred by lemon, rosemary and lavender, also will avoid walking on pebbles/stones. About ten days ago I sprayed around the trough with diluted lemon juice, also added a rosemary and lavender plant. The cat hasn't been near in that time so I appear to have won that battle. I am just waiting to see if any bulbs have actually survived, if so then I'll put some pebbles around them as an extra precaution.

Rocco has arrived so I will take him for a walk before my friend gets here.

Hope you managed a refreshing sleep @Kaila. 🤗

All you can do, @Kaila .. is whatever you can, each day. You will eventually regain your strength. So pleased that your PT is progressing.

Yesterday, we took one of our country-drives. It's so good to see animals in the pastures - horses, sheep, goats, etc. Being dog-lovers, we keep an eye out for them as well.

Some flowers to cheer you ..

Good Morning, Kaila and Friends. 🤗 :coffee: 🌻

@Kaila, I hope your husband's visit goes well today and his alternative ride works out smoothly. It seems a good idea that you are trying to save some personal resources for your visit tomorrow.

I have a sticky note on my fridge that reads, "If you always do what you can, you'll get there."

@Pam, I hope you managed to save some of your bulbs and you get pretty tulips for your efforts.

Does your software have a speech-to-text feature/voice typing? I use one on Google Docs when I'm trying to get my thoughts together and it works pretty well.

Sorry for your troubles; hoping you heal swiftly. Good Vibes. ❤️

Hi Kaila,
Just do what you can when you can.
You have to look after yourself first.
It’s nice that you are enjoying the simple things in life, like the tulips starting to open outside your window.

I hope your soup was good and that you get a good nights sleep.
Take care ♥️
PP

Thank you so much for that thoughtful encouragement.
I was not ever one to put myself first, until December, when I became completely unable to help myself or him.

It's been a very slow rebuild since then, which cannot succeed if I burn the candle at both ends. I finally learned that lesson, one that did not come easy or natural for me.

Enjoyed your interesting story, Pam. Let us know if any of the bulbs win their battle.

I got some sleep last night. I hope I can get more tonight.
