Gentle posts for gentle folks

Hello everyone,
It's so nice to read all of your posts, and to see others dropping by, and in and out, as well. 🤩🤓☺️

I'm trying to relax and catch up today, on a few very small tasks and mostly on resting.
I'm feeling So exhausted from the things that must be done, even though I cannot even try to do them well or fully adequately.🙄

Just enough to get by, is all I can do for now.
Trying to work on acceptance of that, among all of the other things I am trying to work on.😉🙃🙂😊

I did a small tub of hand-washing. Helped with breakfast. Especially with prepping the coffee percolator.
Did I say that I prioritize the most important of household tasks?

Speaking of which, I did a small grocery order, and paid a bill.
Tomorrow on Monday, I have a P.T. session a little longer than usual. We'll see how that goes.

Hoping for as good a day as possible, for each one of you, today.

And yes, we both had serious medical challenges, that were during the same time period;
that are different from eachother's, but both of us have a list now, that is challenging and ongoing.

We've been adjusting the best we can.
It's very exhausting.
Thank you for the positive word on rest.
We both need it. Regardless of what seems to be needing to be done.
There's not too much else that I will try to do, today.

Our high is 88F/31C today, but it comes with a 60% chance of rain! Woot! Come on, rain!

Husband is off today and tomorrow, which is always nice, and boyfriend is still away, visiting family in London.

I'm doing what I do: exercises, dog walks, light cleaning, um... really important top-secret research for un-named agencies.

@Kaila, hoping your physical therapy session goes well today. Is this a special session? You mentioned it will be a bit longer.

@Kaila I'm very concerned that you don't seem to have any help in the house and your tasks are exhausting you so greatly. Can't you contact your senior center and see if they can get you a household aide maybe at least once or twice a week? You know, to help with folding laundry or washing dishes or vacuuming and things like that. I hope you can look into that... maybe you already have and I just don't remember the outcome. I hope you have a good day at PT today.

Received delivery of some groceries earlier.

That little rain cloud snuck in there this morning, (I'm too inpatient to wait for the "recent emojis" to settle before clicking the next one.) but I'm going to leave it because I'd like some rain.

I don't think we got the predicted rain yesterday, but today our high is 85F/29C with a 70% chance of rain. The chance of rain percentage keeps going up. We've got to get the rain at some point. 1751373003971.png

Recently, I have fallen down a Reddit rabbit hole. 🐇 I swear, I need an intervention. 🤣

Thank you for expressing the concern that you did. I appreciate it.
You were definitely right, and though in the past, I could not find any help of the sort that I need, available in our State,
I have realized after reading your post, that I must try again, at making the phone calls regarding that topic.

In the past it was all totally out of pocket, and not even what I would need most.

But it is truly needed, so I will try again.
Again, thank you.
 
Today I got dh to the lab and the results were good, and then I got his med at the pharmacy.

I am exhausted today, partly because I tried to address too many issues yesterday afternoon, and then, I didn't sleep well enough overnight.

I'm not going out again today, and I feel more determined to try again, to address one thing at a time, and not to focus on as many in one day.

I also will try to nap, as soon as I feel like I've had enough nutrition to eat.

I'm thinking of all of you today.

Well, the rain came. Holy wow, did it ever! Thunder, lightning, blowing wind and rain.

Thankfully, there was a pocket where things settled into just rain, without the wind and lightning. So Lucius and I snuck out and got his afternoon walk in.

Plants are loving the rain. 🌧️ 🪴
