I hope Ozzy's fleas go away immediately and never, ever come back Poor babyGood morning, K-Posse! Had a busy morning trying to eradicate fleas and soothe Ozzy-dog's itching from them. He's snoozing now, so it was worth the effort.
On a happier note, I went to see my eye doctor a couple of days ago because I need to renew my driver's license in person, so eye test. I only wear cheaters, no prescription glasses for distance.
After a thorough examination, he told me I have no glaucoma issues or macular degeneration and my eyes are very healthy. He further pronounced my distance vision "nearly perfect" so no need for distance glasses. He said I'd ace the DMV vision test.
Hope all have a wonderful day!
Feel better @Pinky ....get extra sleep.Good morning @Kaila and friends .. hope everyone is healthy and happy. I'm fighting off the beginning of a cold - gargled with sea salt dissolved in warm water, and took a couple of aspirin last night. I haven't had a cold for a few years, which is a good record.
Nothing on the agenda today. Yesterday was our busy day.
Keep smiling, everyone!
That is really pretty. Is it a counted cross-stitch? I have one in progress, not nearly as intricate and involved as this one, that I need to finish at some point. This one you're doing would look wonderful on a pillow or in a frame.Good afternoon, @Kaila and all. What have I done today so far? Not a lot.I did manage to wash my hair, which takes ages nowadays but I got there! So, am looking half decent! I placed an order for repeat prescription, which youngest son will pick up from the chemist for me sometime next week. Had a little sleep this afternoon then did a bit of cross stitch. I'd not done any for ages thinking it might aggravate my shoulder but it's been okay. I'd love to have it done by Christmas (present for eldest son) but I think that might be wishful thinking.
It's a William Morris piece called Strawberry Thief. While I enjoy doing cross stitch, I don't like any other form of sewing so my cross stitches end up being kept in a bag and never get made into anything! However, son's partner has said her mother would make it into a cushion if I wanted. Or perhaps I could actually put it in a frame. We shall see. I've got to get it finished first. Could be ready the Christmas after next....

maybe on the days that are gonna be too much for you, you could have the groceries delivered just to give yourself a chance to rest. Thanks for those wonderful posts above, today from each one of you!
It's been another beautiful summery day, here;
And with even much more extreme hot ones expected all week, this week,
I prioritized getting myself outdoors again today, before those extremes arrive and settle in place!
While outdoors, I saw 2 hummers over next to the property, zooming around.
Not as close as that other one had been to me, the other day, but I'm thrilled at any sighting!
I also helped to do one load of laundry, today, which is difficult for us to accomplish, but hurray, we did one today.
Tomorrow morning will be busy, needing to address a medical issue that's come up for dh, and trying to also keep my own P.T. appointment, as well.
And to pick up a grocery order, too.
They are all 3 locations that are close to each other and near to home, but it will still be a challenge for us.
Let's hope for healing sleep, for all of us, tonight!
That will be a huge amount of work and countless millions of tiny stitches,
in that beautiful image, Pam!
Which part(S) do you do first, in something like that?
There are so many possible options in the order, it seems to me.
I love to stitch and sew in all sorts of ways, including embroidery, but it's my hands and fingers, that hurt terribly after a very short session, so I don't do nearly as much any more, as I once did, and as I'd enjoy doing.
I'm glad that you've had an offer to do the next stage of that project.
Did Rocco go for the walk, yesterday, I had wondered if he'd be in the mood.....![]()
