Gentle posts for gentle folks

Good morning, friends! It's a little past 5 a.m. and I'm having my leftovers breakfast and coffee. Anyone getting into the Black Friday hoopla today? Not I! I will be firmly ensconced at home waiting for the upcoming snow events. There will be some lake effect snow over the next week, but the projection models can't agree on how much, so it remains a mystery. I hope everyone is well and smiling on this chilly (okay, downright cold!) Friday morning.

Good Morning, Kaila and Friends. πŸ€— :coffee:🍁

It's day-two of the Thanksgiving holiday for us which means, like Kate, I'll be having leftovers for breakfast. I don't know why, but I'm intent on opening a single-serving bag of Cheetos (the crunchy ones) on my mashed potatoes and gravy.

Before that, however, comes what promises to be a chilly walk with Lucius followed by some toning and stretching.

@CallMeKate, I'm avoiding the Black Friday sales like the plague... the Black Friday Plague.

Hoping @Kaila and all of you on this lovely thread are feeling good this Friday morning.

I've never had Cheetos on mashed potatoes, *but* I've been known to put baked beans over mashed potatoes. Did it once on a whim and it stuck so I've done it often. πŸ˜‹
Nowt wrong with baked beans on mash. Particularly if you add a pork sausage or two. Last night we had caramelised onion pork sausages with mushroom pasta. Warm, tasty and filling. :giggle:πŸ‘

*pondering cheetos on mashed potatoes* oh! hi! *grins*

hope everyone's turkey day was good. just popping in to say hello. it's blanket weather here today.

@Kaila how are you feeling?
Hello and thank you, Marci. πŸ™‚
I've been having a few poor days and nights. Feels like I'm just trying to be hanging on, thru a bad stretch.

It helped me today, coming here, and the above posts made me smile and laugh.

Aww! I hope things get better for you soon sweet lady! I know what it's like to be down in a health issue hole. Rest and take care of yourself. Maybe you pushed a little too hard. I have done that a few times. Hope you have a lovely day and stay warm.

A health issue hole.
That's a good phrase.

Thank you❀️for that post.

Quite chilly in northwest Florida?πŸ˜¬πŸ˜±πŸ€—

It's nice to see you, Rossana. 🀩

p.s. Would you like me to send you a winter coat?πŸ˜‰πŸ˜πŸ₯°
Today I need a parka and some snow boots!😁
Actually, I no longer live in NW Florida but my daughter and her family do still live there. We are in Central Florida. The weather is considerably colder during the winter months in the Northern part of Florida.
Our cold spells are relatively short. So far we have had a mild winter.

Central Florida is a nice place.
I lived there for about 6 months, several decades ago. ☺️

You could ask Santa for a pair of snow shoes, but i have a feeling you would not get them. πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜„πŸ˜

I remember that there are 3 different plant zones, in your State, with very different conditions, so yes,;
Bananas for example, can be grown in South Florida, much much easier than in the other 2 horticulture zones.

@Kayla You are right, the conditions (weather and soil) are very different from one part of Florida to another. We lived in different areas of the state through the years. I love the beauty and nature of the state. NW Florida and the Gulf beaches being my favorite.
