Good Afternoon, Kaila and Friends

I'm just in from the second Lucius walk and holy crows, it is freezing! It's currently 23F/-5C with a real feel of 9F/-12.7C. ☃ It's the kind of cold where you have to get so bundled up that only your eyes are showing and you have to turn your entire body around to check for cars or just look to the side. I was following behind Lucius, looking like a stack of tires with boots and a hood, mumbling my affirmations into my scarf.

@Kaila, glad your physical therapy went well on Friday and you got some laughs in. That always makes whatever you're doing so much nicer.

Yes, we'll put the bird feeder, I think, if not on the deck, very near for easy access. I am assuming son will want to set it up right away, but we'll see how he feels. There must be some birdies who could use a little help over winter.

Wishing everyone on Kaila's wonderful thread a nice Sunday afternoon. Coffee to keep us warm.

I hope that you've completely thawed out.
From that terribly uncomfortable outing, early today.

It snowed all day, here today.
So glad I did not have to go out.
I wasn't up to it, at all, today.

I might need to go out tomorrow morning, solely to move the car for plowing,
but I hope i don't.

We had a wonderful variety of birds at our window feeder, today.
And we managed 1 washer load of laundry.

I don't know why my spell checker just changed laundry to masonry .

But I changed it back, so you'd know what the heck i was talking about.

Oh nooooo, she's back! Feeling better finally, and good morning, everyone. My goodness that was rough and all that remains is a wee little bit of nausea and extreme fatigue, but I'm thinking that can last a week or so.

I'll be catching up on posts and will address them a little later today... 4:30's a tad early to be thinking straight.

I did, but then I've had to go back out twice, so far, today! What can you do? Lucius has to go out, no matter what. If I'm sick, if it's cold, if my legs are broken, Lucius has to go out. Son and I were talking about watching Lucius frolic and play in the snow, apparently enjoying the extreme cold, while we're wondering if we're going to die before we get back to the house.

I'm glad you didn't have to go out yesterday and hoping you didn't have to move the car, after all, today. You know, the variety of birds at your feeder bodes well for my son's feeder over winter.

@Pam, how is your little tree doing?

Okay, I'm catching up and I know I'll miss something/someone I wanted to address, but this heavy fatigue is hellish.

@Kaila I hope you didn't have to move the car for snow removal! Did all that snow give you any major problems? I hope not!
@RadishRose I hope your new digs are treating you well. You sounded upbeat about the move, so I'm very happy for you!
@timoc Do you continue to speak kitty-lingo after Mollie goes home?

@Medusa Yep, you're probably the only poly person on SF and I have always admired how you spoke out about the lifestyle. We love you for it.

@Jules There's no way to know what it was about the cake, but most I've spoken with suspect the eggs.

So funny, yet so true and valuable!

Sometimes we do, but other times we don't , need any feedback!

And yes, wild birds do need food in winter, too.
I encourage patience; it takes varying amounts of time, for them to locate a new food source, but they do.

And then, it's so nice for both the humans and the wildlife.
Such a good, positive and heartwarming feeling for a person, to see them at the food we provide for them.

Good morning, @Kaila and co. A dull, dampish morning but still mild at 52F. The other day I bought a very small artificial tree, just under 2 ft tall. I already have a taller one but it's getting to be a struggle getting it set up etc. I know I my sons or grandson would do that for me but I am very happy with the smaller one and I bought some new tiny lights to go on it. I do prefer a real tree but stopped getting one of those once my sons had grown up.

@CallMeKate - sorry about the food poisoning... here's hoping you will soon be on the mend.

@Kaila - very pleased your physical therapy went well and I agree, a few laughs along the way certainly helps!

@RadishRose - love your little dog. All the very best to you in your new place. Sounds like you are settling in nicely.

I'd best get on - doing housework in stages. Gone are the days when I'd have whizzed through it in no time at all.
