Gentle posts for gentle folks

Good Afternoon, Kaila and Friends πŸ€— :coffee:πŸŽ„

The day goes well, so far. :) The real feel for the second Lucius walk was 23F/-5C, which was a lot better than yesterday's 4F or 6F or whatever ridiculousness it was. It's purportedly going to be warming up over the next several days and I'm very much looking forward to that. Warmer days in winter feel like little gifts because it's then that many less freezing days. Winter can only be so long, after all.

Husband and I watched our team get utterly smooshed into the ice last night. :/ We were behind a couple games so have another one to watch tonight. Here's hoping.

I still have not started my Barbie dress, or any other project; I don't know why I'm having so much trouble starting something, anything. I really do want to do a project.

@Kaila, you know you've got me thinking that it might be a good idea to put son's bird feeder on the laundry pole where we usually put the feeder in spring and summer because the birds know to look there. Thanks for the tip! :)
Good vibes for your physical therapy today! Good Vibes.jpg

@Pam, was that the Manchester United V Bournemouth game? Boyfriend was watching that yesterday whilst we were hanging out and I remember there being a lot of goals in that one. ⚽

@RadishRose, tacos are one of my favorite foods and I want one of those!

@PeppermintPatty, hope you and partner have a nice walk with your doggies today. πŸ€—

@MarciKS, love your new avatar!

Wishing everyone here a nice, and hopefully warm, Tuesday. πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•

Good morning @Kaila and co. Heavy rain was originally the forecast for this area so I took Rocco out earlier than usual whilst it was still dry. Just looked at the forecast again and it's changed to light showers....πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ It is still dry.

Youngest son and grandson came round last night, charged up my new phone and son is coming back today to set it up for me.

@Medusa - yes it was the Man Utd v Bournemouth match they went to. Said it was a good match to watch with so many goals, but just disappointed with a draw (4-4). It takes me back to the mid 1980s when Man Utd played a pre season friendly or testimonial against our local team. We knew someone connected with the soccer club and got an invite to meet the players. So my claim to fame is I got a kiss from Lou Macari and Gordon MacQueen. A bit of street cred for me.

Hoping that everyone on here is well. πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•

Good Afternoon, Kaila and Friends πŸ€— :coffee:πŸŽ„

I am a bit ahead of schedule today because of waking early.

I didn't sleep well and I woke with a headache. That's my whine for the day. Well, technically, I complained about it in the sleep thread earlier, as well. Fine, I'm being generally petulant today.

Thank Gods for Kaila's come-as-you-are thread and all the lovely people on it! (In it?) ❀️

So my claim to fame is I got a kiss from Lou Macari and Gordon MacQueen. A bit of street cred for me.
Well, that is pretty freaking cool!

I'm not familiar with the players so, I asked boyfriend, who is a life-long football (soccer) fan. He did recall them and described Lou Macari as, he thinks, a striker and Gordon MacQueen as a tall, blond-haired defender and both of them Scottish internationals who played for Scotland as well. He also said that the game in reference was a very good game to watch, as you mentioned.

I wasn't at all surprised that boyfriend knew of these players off the top of his head. The man loves football.

I sometimes watch the games with him, but couldn't get this one so was listening to his reactions over speaker whilst doing my own things.

@Kaila, hoping you're feeling well today and enjoying the company of some birdies at your feeders. :)

@CallMeKate, glad you're back to full health!

Wishing everyone a nice Wednesday. πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•

It was a long, long morning waiting for my coffee. The power was out from early morning until noon. Not bad really, except when you don’t have coffee. We can manually open our garage door but can’t close it. It’s not wise to leave a garage open to anyone walking around.

The sun was shining so I went for a walk. It was very peaceful without the usual traffic.

I also shouldn’t complain because there are very large swatches of the province without power.

Good morning, just having a few minutes on here before Rocco arrives. Will take him out for a walk straight away as I've got the hairdresser coming mid morning to give me a trim.

Well.. son came round yesterday and swapped Sim card onto new phone then transferred everything from old to new, I only have a pay as you go phone because my main use is for texts and I also want it for emergencies. I don't do any social media etc. on it.

After he'd gone I checked my balance and decided to just make a top up payment. Of course, they have now changed the way you pay and I couldn't figure it out. Doh! Eventually texted my son and said there wasn't any rush but next time he was round could he sort it for me. Ten minutes later he was here and talked me through it. A bit later on I received a text from grandon asking if I needed help switching phone on and off. 🀣 I'll sort him out next time I see him. ;)

@Medusa. Yes, your boyfriend is correct about both players. :) MacQueen died a couple of years back. I have a lot of admiration for Lou Macari as he now runs a charity - and is very hands on - for the homeless.

Best get going as Rocco will be here any second.

Hope this is finding everyone well. Catch up later. πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•

Good morning. Having my second cup of coffee already.

Decided to make one of my B/P meds, prn and the med tech gave me a hard time about it. This frosts me no end as they are simply lay persons who are taught the names and dosages of meds, take a test and voilΓ , are certified to hand out meds. I've caught so many mistakes, it's unbelievable. I've spoken to the head nurse here about it, as these clowns work off the nurse's license. I'd never agree to allow anyone to work off my license, and made sure I retired it when I retired. No one is going to use my number. Now, I woke up with a low grade fever. What next?

I hope your day goes much better than how mine is starting out. Cheers.
