Gentle posts for gentle folks

I was notably physically ill, all day today.πŸ˜‘πŸ˜–
Not from a virus or flu...

But rather, from a combination of my ongoing medical issues, along with having apparently overdone, on Tuesday and Wednesday.
πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ˜•

Tuesday, I'd had a very good but very challenging p.t. session.
I knew better than to go to the lab, afterwards on same day;

So instead, I took both of us for our lab work the following day...πŸ™„
with 1 stop on the way home for a few supplies. 🫣😐

Even though i rested today,
If I'm not better by tomorrow morning, I will have to take the rare action of calling to cancel a Friday medical appointment of mine. (Not p.t.)

I don't want to miss the appointment which will then have to move to January obviously,
But the weather forecast is also adding to my doubts about going.

Stormy rain downpours, with strong gusting winds likely causing downed tree limbs, power outages and extra driving warnings.

I prefer to wait and see how my body is doing, and whether or not, the forecast comes to local fruition....
But Not sounding promising for my leaving home tomorrow. Eh?

It's too late to give the preferred 24 hour notice of appointment cancelation, but the weather forecast has worsened since earlier today.
It occurs to me that the Provider might prefer or even need to cancel.

Would someone lend me a big soft blanket?😁😊☺️

Aw, Kaila, I'm sad to hear that you had such a rough day yesterday. πŸ₯Ί Here's hoping that today is much better for you. 🀞 I know you'll make the decision that's right for you about today's medical appointment. No pushing yourself allowed, y'hear?

That weather warning you posted (Stormy rain downpours, with strong gusting winds) is πŸ’― what's happening here right now. It's 54 degrees and weird. Snow this afternoon. Say what?!

Good Afternoon, Kaila and Friends πŸ€— :coffee:πŸŽ„

@Kaila, Oh! LOL I thought you meant you and husband! My duh.
I'm hoping things went well with your appointment and, most likely, the cancellation and reschedule. It sounds like this is just not the day. You need some time under that fluffy pink blanket of @MarciKS's. πŸ€—

Rest and recover, girl; I'm sending good thoughts for you.

Wishing everyone here a wonderful Friday. (Let's try not to get blown away in this wind.)
Thank you for the coffee, @MarciKS. Let's have some Christmas cookies with it.

I have a very pretty red, velour one that you can have. It would cheer you up, even if you’re not feeling up to snuff.

@Kaila - sending you healing vibes your way
I hope you cancelled your appointment. It’s bad enough that you aren’t feeling well but to have that horrible weather on top of that isn’t good. I hope you stay snuggled up at home.View attachment 474226

Jules, Patty, and Kate;
These 3 posts started my day with the extra support I needed, in order to make the decision, that I needed to make,
For my health and safety , and both physical and emotional well- being.

I really do push myself, and this was not a good day for me to do that.
I was sick enough to stay home, even if the weather was not as horrendous.
And the weather would also have been a smart enough reason to cancel, even if Id been feeling okay.

****** So I thank you, and each of the rest of you, who posted supportive messages, today!

And this post is so funny it made me laugh!
Oh yes that's so me! πŸ˜„πŸ˜πŸ˜†πŸ˜‚πŸ™ƒπŸ€£

Not!πŸ˜Šβ˜ΊοΈπŸ˜‰πŸ˜Š

@Kaila we're having the same weather.
I'm sorry for these tough days you're having. πŸ₯• πŸ₯•πŸ₯•

Hello and love to all!πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

I'm glad you posted that message,🀩 because I had specifically wondered if this weather was similar, in your neck of the woods, too!

And thank you for the always- warm messages, Rose.☺️

Good Afternoon, Kaila and Friends πŸ€— :coffee:πŸŽ„

I am once again, as always, very thankful for your unique wordings of your caring support, Medusa .πŸ’Ÿ

My spellchecker changed wording, in that sentence of mine,
to worshipping ;

How funny is that?!!πŸ˜„πŸ˜πŸ˜„πŸ˜πŸ˜„πŸ˜

Good afternoon Kaila and friends,
@Kaila I hope you feel better soon!
Sending you all sunny and warm hugs from Florida!🌞

I'm not 100% certain that we fully appreciate your reminder, that not everyone endures our wintry weather conditions, Rossana.
πŸ˜πŸ˜„πŸ˜†πŸ€—

But I am sure, that we are always happy to see you drop in, here. 🀩πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

@Lewkat
Did you feel better, today?
Temp. back down to what's normal for you?πŸ’—
Yes, I do, Kaila. My normal temp is 97.3. These morning elevations as well as B/P elevations are puzzling to all. However, I have eliminated one of my B/P meds. and I take 2 aspirin at bedtime now. So far, my pressure has been close to normal and my temps much lower than 102 now upon awakening.

Hi All

As far as describing my 'place'......it's ok. That's all.

Good morning, friends!

I am feeling a little bit more like myself, this morning, especially compared to the past 48 or 56 hours.....I lost count, but it was a poor few days and nights.

Anyway I do feel a little improvement, and I see thru my windows that the weather has a huge improvement.
Whew!

So we are slowly getting ready to go to the farm market (very short stop there for just 1important item)
And to pick up groceries in the grocery store parking lot, and then back home!

It's a bit daunting. Probably will be much traffic.

But I think I'm a bit better enough, and food, of course, it's more important than most other reasons to venture out.

Blue sky and sunshine today, which helps, even in winter.
Especially in winter!

I'm thinking of each one of you, valued friends!

I've had a productive day so far: my journals, exercises and Lucius walks plus a trip to the co-op to fill bags with goodies for son's stocking. We were going to do that last night, but the weather turned fierce so we postponed. Now I have everything I need, I can start wrapping. I have a pretty bag, card and tissue set coming from Amazon as well. (I've long since stopped using actual stockings for this.) And this year I finally remembered the orange. 🍊 :)

@Kaila, so good to hear you're feeling a bit better and having nicer weather! Anything good at the farmers' market today?

I'm going to watch a little hockey (just got the FloHockey app), hangout with boyfriend for a while and then do some wrapping. 5d1b3fc899dc2605b2a5ca8102684402.jpg

Wishing everyone a nice, warm, Saturday afternoon. πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•
