My sister in law just got over a cold which she said made her the sickest she’s been in her life which included a Covid virus. Colds and flus can be serious illnesses.

I'm sorry to hear that! This one doesn't seem worse than the average cold/flu judging by my husband's bout with it so I'm hopeful it won't be too bad for me.

Perhaps yours will be shorter in duration, due to the care you do take,
Or perhaps the symptoms will be less severe.....

do you go out into public places a lot with lots of people and no mask? If so, or if hubby is around lots of people with no mask it is easily transmitted. This year the flu and covid are pretty bad here. hope you get better soon.

I don't, actually, but husband does work with the public, although he's worn a mask the last few days. Doesn't matter now, I suppose as here we are and we'll just have to get through it now.

Good Morning, Kaila and Friends.

I'm on early again this morning because, with this virus, my days are not being driven by my usual schedule. I'm just sitting in bed with my laptop. It's weird.

Ugh. I had trouble talking to boyfriend this morning because this illness has taken my voice. :/

Thank you, @CallMeKate, I am staying in bed, drinking liquids, refraining from exercises (which is harder than you'd think) and doing all the things a person does in illness. Bleh.

I'm having coffee now, but then I'll switch to tea and I'm reminded that we have some very nice instant Miso Soup packets somewhere in the small pantry.

@Kaila, hoping you are feeling rested today and that there isn't anything too taxing on the agenda.

the courage to continue. ....
Am repeating it to myself, like a mantra.

I'm still extremely sloggy, and finding it difficult to cope with.... so far.....
Yet hoping for the dense fog to lighten up.
Which could happen at any time.

Hope, Determination,......
And Courage.

My determination can still kick in.

And when sheer determination is barely enough....
It's then that  courage arises, despite how rough.

Moments of success were fleeting.....
Yet significant, nonetheless.

And failure and loss, did feel like fatal.
But wasn't.

Holding on....to love, and to life....
discovering inner strengths....

This morning, I looked out the window, and saw the cardinal, on the empty dish.

I got dressed with extra layers , knowing it's extra cold outdoors!

And I managed to put seed in the birdfeeder.

He hasn't come back yet, but the goldfinches did, and he will.
