Gentle posts for gentle folks

Good afternoon from a sunny north west corner of England. Couldn't access the forum for a while this morning so I washed my hair and did a bit of dusting instead. 😁

Grandson came round yesterday and said on his next set of days off he and dad will move the bits of rubbish from my back yard and do a general tidy up, so that's good.

We also had a little chat about having a couple of days out in the summer. Might go to the nature reserve again or maybe go to Lancaster. Both are about an hour away and although I am not a city person at all, I don't mind Lancaster as it's a small city and I won't get lost. 😄

Going to watch a bit of snooker now before son picks me and takes me to his house for tea.

Hello, to each one of you. 🙂

I'm extremely worn out and sore and sloggy so far, today. Barely moving. 😒
Apparently I overdid in our small garden yesterday, even though i didn't actually do much at all.🙄😵‍💫🙁

Now that i ponder it, as frustrating and discouraging as it feels today, it was worth it, to be able to be outdoors yesterday. I'll remind myself to be thankful for that.

It's raining here too! :) Like @CallMeKate, I am enjoying the cool, rainy day and so is my Lucius. :) He was very rompy on the morning walk.

@Kaila, I think you're right about the ducks! And thank you, @Pam! I'm so happy about it. :) We haven't seen them yet today, but I'm really hoping they will come back. And of course, I'll keep you guys posted with the breaking news. ;)

--Sorry you're sore today, girl. But you know, it sounds like a good kind of sore/tired; the kind you earned. 🤗

It is a nice day here; cool and breezy. :)

Husband is upstairs napping as he's off today. It always makes me feel good to see him napping, eating something he really enjoys or doing anything that makes him happy.

We watched some hockey last night; the Stanley Cup Playoffs have begun! Our team (which is our second team because our first did not make the playoffs this year) did not win their first game of the first round, but it was at least close and it was only the first of the best of seven.

There are a few other teams we would like to "lightly" track because they are fun rivalries so, there's going to be a lot of hockey in our lives for the next few weeks. -Like that's just so different from the norm. 😅

I'm going to be hanging out with boyfriend today (which is also the norm), while he watches what is a very important game for West Ham. The teams around them ( in the standings) have won their recent games which has put West Ham in a tight spot such that they really need to win this game today. It's going to be a nail-biter. 🤖⚽ @Pam

I'd watch it with him, but this one is on a network I don't have.

Sorry for sports ramble, guys. 😅 Sheesh.

@katlupe, @PeppermintPatty, and @CallMeKate, thanks for the cherry, uplifting messages this morning. They genuinely made me smile. You guys are awesome, spreading some Monday cheer around. 🤗

Good evening, been a nice sunny day again but I've done very little, just can't be bothered, too busy watching snooker. 😉

I will be watching it again in a minute but also keep checking on the football when it starts in an hour @Medusa. I'll be keeping fingers and toes crossed, they certainly could do with a win tonight. Getting too near to the end of the season.

Son dropped off my prescription for me so that's me sorted for another three months.

A big thanks from me too for all the lovely greetings and pictures.

How are you today @Kaila? Hope you managed a good sleep and aren't as exhausted today. 🫂

Well, that's the snooker just come back on tv so I'll settle down and watch that for the evening. :cool:

I was still exhausted this morning, but was glad to not need to go out, anyplace,
And was able to accomplish small important tasks.
Whew.

Time for a rest or nap, now...
Then, will be getting things ready for tomorrow morning pool therapist appointment.

Half-time. 0-0. I'm watching Hammer's Chat on youtube and hanging with boyfriend, who is watching the game. COYI! ⚽
