It's a nice day and Lucius and I have had two pleasant walks. Husband is working closing shift today so I'll catch some hockey on my own - though it's not nearly as fun without him.
I've done most of my things today so, I'm relaxing now.
I've rediscovered the PC games I used to love (before Animal Crossing sucked me into it's hypnotic realm) and have been having fun with that.
@Kaila, glad you got to and through your appointment today, which sounds like it was particularly difficult. TAY, girl.
Wishing everyone on this wonderful thread a peaceful Friday afternoon.
Good afternoon everyone. @Kaila, sorry you had a challenging day yesterday. I hope today is much better for you. Your little cat is so beautiful, such lovely colouring.
I hope you too are feeling a lot better today @Medusa. Big match tomorrow for the Hammers.....
Yesterday I went for my spring Covid jab. I feel fine in myself but my arm was a bit tender so I didn't post anything but I did look in. Today I went ot Aldi first thing then got the bus into town and bought two tops from TK MAxx. My back was killing me when I got back and I hadn't walked that far so that was a good excuse to lie down and watch tele for a while.
Going to have a look around then do a bit of cross stitch while Rocco isn't here.
I've just been on Zoom with boyfriend and it was lovely to see him.
@Pam, thank you. I'm having a lot of trouble with anxiety lately, but I am being nice to myself about it and doing what I can to self-regulate.
---Gosh yes; tomorrow's game is huge for West Ham! Optimal would be the Hammers winning tomorrow and the Spurs losing on Monday. As you say, fingers and toes crossed!
@Kaila, it is sweet the way your beautiful kitty is wrapped up in herself, napping. Thank you for sharing her here.
How about an extra large an d limitless platter of
Here's to passing them, all around, today.
We got outdoors briefly this morning, to plant more of those pansies....
Then retreated indoors.
It's stormy, dark, grey, and raining outside, ever since;
And not much more cheerful indoors either, but hanging in here.
Oh, just remembered a highlight to the day, hours ago.
We'veβnever had these rare visitors to this property, βever before come right up close to our window, like they did today!!!

Good morning all. Another lovely sunny day here. Yesterday, the forecast was for light rain showers and we had sunshine all day.
Lovely that the ducks come into your yard @Kaila. I've seen a few herring gulls this morning. They're never far away!
@Medusa, hope you can get your anxiety under control. I don't have anxiety as such but I am a bit of a loner and really only like seeing sons and grandchildren and one very good friend. She always texts me first to check if it's okay to come round. I hate unexpected visits.
Just finished my ironing, going to go in the yard now and see how the plants in my tubs are progressing.
Thanks for all the and @ Kaila. It's so nice to come to this thread.
Good morning Kaila & Gang! I hope everyone is well and perky on this American (and I think Canadian?) Mother's Day. I don't know yet what my daughter has planned for me... it's been kept a secret, but it won't be outdoors 'cause it's raining. Again. And will be for days according to the forecast.
Love the duck picture, Kaila! Does your precious kitty watch the yard visitors and birds from the windows? I'd like to see ducks here, but hasn't happened yet. Lots of water, and it's a river town, so it's not impossible to see them stop by my yard at some point. I'm more likely to see bigger things... like what my neighbor saw on a walk recently... a BEAR. I do have a family of deer right at my back windows and mama brings the new babies around every spring to check the place out.
Whatever your daughter has planned for you today @CallMeKate, I'm sure you will enjoy!
To all the mums on here, have a lovely Mother's Day.
Grandson has just texted to say he's coming round in about an hour, then later I'll be going to eldest son's for tea as per usual.
I've done a bit in the yard this morning, just a general tidy up. Last year I cut the honeysuckle right back and am pleased to say that it is growing back again nicely. It has got way too heavy and was pulling down the trellis. My favourite plant, London Pride (a saxifraga) is now in bloom. Tiny delicate flowers that I love
Going to do a bit of cross stitch while I wait for grandson. As Rocco isn't here I can do it without his 'help'.
I'm having a nice day. I've already posted about it on the "How Are You Today?" thread so, I won't bore you guys with a repeat. I'm about to play with my new sticker books and watch a show with boyfriend until it's time to put some dinner together and catch some hockey.
@Kaila, hope you're doing well this afternoon and having a nice day.
@CallMeKate, have a great time with your daughter today.
Thank you, @Pam. I know what you mean about unexpected visits; I'm not a fan either. Fortunately, my BFF lives in Colorado.
-- I don't know if you've seen the result of the Hammers game today, so I'll put it in a spoiler (which is also easily skippable for peeps not interested in this topic. ) :
The Hammers loss was crushing today, especially as they had an equalizing goal disallowed in the last minute of the game. -- It's looking bad, but all is not quite lost as we'll have to see what the Spurs do tomorrow. Still hanging on!
--Rocco looks very interested in your cross-stitch.
--Have a nice time with grandson and later at son's. Your flowers are pretty little things.
Wishing everyone a really nice Sunday / Mother's Day!!!

I loved going to those, too. Decades ago.
I forgot all about them.
Many different kinds of fall fairs. Some local, and others, farther away. Worth the drive. Sometimes camped nearby the fairgrounds. Sometimes volunteered.
Good morning from a sunny corner of north west England. Hoping it stays this way so I can attempt to get Rocco to the park. lol
I hope you managed to get some sleep @Kaila and that your water therapy goes well too.
Grandson and youngest son came round yesterday afternoon prior to grandson going to a barbecue. Just as they were leaving, son's partner arrived to take me to their house.
I've just washed my hair so must go and get it dried before 'his lordship' arrives. Catch up later.
