Germany To Crack Down On Online Sales Taxes

I don't know anything about other countries, but I thought that here in the US, you would only pay state sales tax on mail order items if the company you buy from has a store or outlet in the state you live in. I'm am not sure about this- anyone know?

There is a lot of fuss in Europe about the amount of tax paid by the likes of Amazon and others.

In fact they pay exactly the amount of tax which I, and all law abiding citizens pay - the amount required by law, no more, no less.

If the governments of some countries, including the UK, are too stupid, feckless or incompetent to set a proper tax regime one can hardly blame the company for that.

Better to blame the useless lawmakers of the country involved.
