Germany to use Google and Apple smart phones for covid tracking. It will be 'decentralized'.

yes England is setting up something similar.... it wont effect me i usually leave my phone on the table, much to everyones annoyance, it just feels like big brother is looming... it ok for them to say its only for corona detection, does anyone think they will give up this facility after corona has gone?

Another foot in the door. Under the premise it's for the public's benefit. Some argue that that type of contract tracing won't even work or be of benefit. I think Germany was on the fence for a while but Merkel or the EU probably pushed it to one side.
 

The Prime Minister has announced a trial on th Isle of Wight. Off the south coast with a High enough population to make the trial viable.

It does need a High take up rate though.
