Getting back to loving what you love doing

Grief, a bit of depression...it's that monkey on your back that takes away the joy. IMO you have to acknowledge it, let it run with you a bit, but at some point you just have to reach out and grab and pull back what you love, back into your life.
Grief and depression are real, some people would say "it's all in your head", I say "BINGO!" give that person a kewpie doll! Just so happens... in-your-head is where you live! ;)
If someone tells you: "shake it off" or "suck it up"....them them to p_ss off!

Moving forward...becuase life is a one way street.

Life also doesn’t have a rewind button.

Unless you’re clinically depressed, there are many ways to manage those feelings of grief or other negative emotions, but the vicious cycle is that when you’re down you don't WANT to. You want to wallow, you’ve no energy, you’re unmotivated in the extreme.

THAT is what’s hardest to overcome. That inertia. That ennui. That dull, lackluster feeling that you have to get past or ignore in order to actually take the steps to make yourself feel better.

That’s the vicious cycle of it all

I'm in that very state. I'm a widow of 2 years, a multi stroke survivor, a total shut in, etc. I didn't know what to do with myself the first year, I have noticed the past couple of years I'm slowly finding my old personality and loves. I have no children, so no grandchildren which makes it harder. I just sit in my home and vegitate! I hope one day to find all the things I used to love.
