Getting rid of stuff.

I have a bunch of very nice guitars. My plan was to switch over from wood guitars to all carbon fiber. However, I have both and both types are appealing in their own way. My favorite guitar is the one I have in my hands at the moment, so I doubt I will be selling any of them any time soon. I also have a whole bunch of music books. Many are long out of print and I am finding them selling at ridiculous prices online (I know the difference between listing for and sold for...), so since I still refer to them, I don't want to let them go either.

I do have the occasional "Clean out", but I have to be careful because it is all too easy to get carried away and get rid of stuff that I would need again in the future. In the last clean out, I got rid of a couple of boxes of cables. Just recently I had to buy a couple and the prices have gotten ridiculous.

I was lucky to find a group who collects and ships overseas to Nigeria, The Philippines, Grenada and Tobago. Contacts accept and distribute directly to people who need. they don’t pay a dime.
Prior to that we gave to Goodwill and to ReStore. I’ve always followed the rule “jacket in - jacket out”.

I am married to a Chef, so my nemesis is cookbooks and magazines. Trying to get him to purge those have been a job in itself

I hate the wind... I hate it more than any other weather..

Where my second home is in Southern Spain, it's at the top of a hill, overlooking a Golf course, and when the rain and winds come we get all the darn sand blowing off the golf course, and the beach only 10 minutes away
I would hate to live in Sask. ...my daughter had been posted there for awhile and found that the wind blew so much, she had to dust her dishes off before using...and these were in the house! Living here especially in the winter months with wind, one tends to walk bent over...did that in Quebec as well. Have to watch that or will stay bent over...as my dear late Maman used to say.

Seriously? Like THIS type of thing?
I would LOVE that. I’m a tad jealous.
That must be so lovely and romantic on a moonlight snowy night, even with a daughter. Lol! That IS good healthy fun. How delightful.

That's one of them and best of all, the horses love participating...they show off...especially the big black Percheron (he looks like a bear especially with his winter coat but is as gentle as can be) who used to pull logs up North...he whips a sled around like nothing.
It is a breath-taking isolation our way...especially when you step out and if seen by any, they neigh their hello with hopes of a treat or two be it mints or dried apple chunks...my pockets are always full. They all come up to greet me one at a time as I call out their name...rather magical. My daughter is a 'horse woman'...bigtime! I must say that most of my friends are all four-legged which include goats & sheep.

Oh goodness. You are my type of woman.
Most of my friends are the four legged variety.
They speak a language I understand perfectly and their hearts our completely pure.
Your lifestyle sounds heavenly Ruby Rose.
Do you ever watch Heartland? Your daughter sounds like Amy. The ‘horse whisperer.’ 🐎 💕

I love Heartland and yes, my daughter is very much like Amy but a tad older and the horses, etc are her children. This morning was a bit of a shocker as registered -30 C at 7:30 AM and hardly any wind...yet. Think I will wait awhile before stepping out. Enjoy chatting with you.
