Getting up early and

walking sometimes pays off. Went a different route today and saw this keyboard laying on top of a large pile of trash. Started to walk away, figured it was probably busted, but decided to take it with me and head for home. Cleaned it up, it had a lot of dust from setting somewhere, plugged it in and crossed my fingers for luck. It lit right up and the darn thing plays perfect and everything works on it. It's a Yamaha, full size keyboard, and sells for about $250.00. I only play by ear and have had a couple keyboards over the years, which I have enjoyed, but nothing as fancy as this one. Lady Luck was walking with me today.

Good catch! I occasionally find stuff put out at our dumpster. Recently found some nice matching kitchen chairs that I use on my front entrance...

What a fantastic find! I hope you get many hours of enjoyment out of it. My Dad played by ear, every night after dinner while my Mom and I did the dishes ,he would play the piano. What I wouldn't give to hear it again.

Some years ago when I needed to clear my house out, I just put a load of once very expensive electronic equipment out for 'the fairies' to help themselves to. Digital video processing gear. VCRs, TV monitors etc. I just couldn't be bothered to advertise it! The fairies didn't disappoint!

Good for you Pappy. Looks like a nice one.

I got a lot of use of the one I had. I've always played piano but don't have one now.

That's why the keyboard came in handy. I finally gave it to my grandkids and they are still using it.
