Perhaps it's for the best Robert. Hopefully, she'll get good care there specifically for her condition. Dementia caregiving becomes harder and harder as the disease progresses. It's heartbreaking as well. It's good that you intend to see her as often as you can.

Visiting as often as you can will be important to her and for her care. Try to visit on different days of the week if possible so that the staff doesn't actually expect you on the same day every week. I wish you the best in these hard times

I think if she had to move to a nursing home, then it was the right decision at the right time. Extensive caregiving can be very detrimental to the caregiver. Even causing them health issues or shortening their life.

Visit as you can and take care of yourself.

I have heath problem like Diabetic nurve damage in my left foot. Need surgery and maybe my foot taken off .Now I don't drive because of diabetes I take the taxi and bus everywhere. For two dollars round trip. I have bad numbing in my left and my right still feels. I have mermory lost big time
