There was a time I could ace the baton. I could do twirls in each hand, tricks, throws, all of it. Not sure how well I'd do now.

Yes! I loved twirling my baton, throwing it in the air & catching it. I had a wood baton, and a metal one as well. I spent hours practicing.

Yes, I was able to twirl, spin, do fancy moves with my baton. Wonder if I still could?

I certainly do know..my daughter was a gold medallist Majorette.. first she got Bronze age 8.. then silver then Gold....

this is her practising at home in her uniform when she was 8 years old... this was over 40 years ago...

and on carnival day, marching to Eye of the tiger... gawdsakes how I came to hate that song..it was played hundreds literally hundreds of times for them at various venues

Oh, yes. A baton. My mother got one for me and my sister took it from me, tossed it up high...waited to catch it and it came down right into her eye! Then I got in trouble for snickering.
