Go Caroling Day - December 20th

Quite surprised last week when there was insistent knocking and doorbell ringing at our Chicago suburban front door. Opening the door, I was greeted by a gaggle of (I'm guessing) Middle-School-Aged girls who asked permission to sing carols to me. They sang off-key, mangled the lyrics and absolutely provided among the most heart-warming experiences I can recall.

At midnight on December 31 the effigy was consigned to flames marking the end of a year and consuming with it all that was evil and bad that year. “It’s a joyous occasion as the ills are burnt and one begins on a new note,”

However, when ills and evils piled up for years in adulthood, with no transparency in sight, its difficult to let go and start "anew".
