Over the past month I re-watched The Godfather 1, 2, and 3, for about the 20th time. :)
My favorite scene is when Michael is hiding out in Sicily and first sees Apollonia.
Al Pacino was so cute back then!

I've only watched the first one and the only scene I actually remember is the horse head in the bed. Since it's the only scene I remember I suppose that makes it my favorite.

That is one of my favorite scenes too, apple.

I read the book a couple years before the movie came out. Great casting, spot-on descriptions. I remember the shooting went on and on. James Can certainly earned his paycheck that day! :eek:mg1:

Marlon Brando: "Look how they massacared my boy". Yes, indeed.

I agree, Gary. Brando wasn't in that many scenes, but when he was on the screen he chewed the scenery without even trying.

For those interested, the trilogy is currently on Netflix.

The old cotton ball trick.....

From The Godfather wikia: Brando's performance as Vito Corleone in 1972's The Godfather was a mid-career turning point. Director Francis Ford Coppola convinced Brando to submit to a "make-up" test, in which Brando did his own makeup (he used cotton balls to simulate the puffed-cheek look).

Marlon Brando was only 47 yrs old when Godfather1 was filmed.

I've never seen any of the Godfather movies. But if you want to start a thread like this on the Sopranos or Goodfellas I'd love to contribute.

What?

My eyes....they hurt..... I thought you said you've never seen the Godfather movies? Say it ain't so!

I know about the Sopranos but didn't watch regularly.

Goodfellas was an excellent movie, but very different.
