Because of the poor weather outside and a busy day of chores and other work, I sat down last night looking for some lite weight entertainment. I ended up watching episode one of the Golden Batchelor. This guy is in his 70’s, looks fit, has a full head of hair and is very charming. The twenty two women competing for his affection were mostly very fit, active, intelligent and all looked very good. Some were down right hot. They are in their early 60’s to mid 70’s.
So, the women explain how this is their last chance to find true love and add a man to their lonely lives. Really? I have a hard time thinking that such beautiful, talented, healthy, fit, intelligent women can’t find a number of great guys to date and maybe even one to marry. Their main issue seems to be that he is so very good looking and they must have him. Then they go through this junior high ”choosing up teams” drill where he has to reject about a 1/2 dozen of the women. How humiliating that is. Perhaps they are not as intelligent as I thought they were.
Oh well, now I know why I never waisted time watching these Batchelor shows before. OTOH, the gals are very physically attractive, and I can see myself reading an improving book while occasionally watching out for the eye candy on TV. The joys of being an older, retired Batchelor.
