Golden Globe Awards

Tonight on NBC at 8pm is the 76th Golden Globe awards presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Assoc
The awards give out for both TV&film,usually an indication which films will be nominated for Academy Awards
One of my favorite movies I saw last yr and loved,was 'A Star is Born' starring&in his directorial debut,Bradley Cooper,Lady Gaga.The film is nominated in these categories:
Drama,Best Actor, Director,Actress,song'Shallow'
Bradley has never won a Golden Globe,it would be a nice birthday present{ was yesterday}if he wins either director,actorI'll be happy
Another favorite actor of mine,Jeff Bridges will receive the Cecil B.DeMille award for career achievement in film
In the TV category,the nominated shows are either on Netflix or Amazon,don't have either Sue

I have to laugh,I got so engrossed with reading my book,lost track of time
I watched maybe 15min,but there were so many commercial breaks I switched to something else

Bohemian Rhapsody won, but now there is controversy over that win. The Director wasn't acknowledged for a reason and the movie beat out, what some say, were much more popular movies. We seen the movie and really, really liked it...…..except for a couple of scenes (men kissing). But, it has been very documented that Freddy was straight in the beginning, went to being "bi", then gay. But, still heck of a singer, piano player and band.

Then there was the "platform" talking. The Green Book, the different races in movies now and more women in movies. Some of the winners just can't stand not doing "platform" talking at an awards show. Then, the one lady who got "blanked out" for saying something...…..perhaps how much her boobs stuck out of the top of her dress? Beyond noticeable. Wife and I just laughed.
