Good and Bad Airport Food?

Your post reminds me that the last surviving member of the Ronettes, Nedra Talley Ross, just passed away. 😢 Last surviving member of legendary girl group the Ronettes, Nedra Talley Ross, dead at 80.
Hopefully none of them went through what the very talented Ronni Spector went through at the hands of her husband, Phil Spector.

Ronnie Spector was subjected to severe psychological and physical abuse by her husband, producer Phil Spector, during their marriage (1968–1974), which she detailed in her memoir, Be My Baby. Phil turned their home into a prison, isolating her with barbed wire and guard dogs, confiscating her shoes, threatening to kill her and display her in a glass-lidded coffin, and forcing her to adopt children to manipulate her.

I've never eaten anything on a flight, not even a minuscule bag of peanuts. However, I've choked down crappy airport "cuisine" while laying over for hours. It was eat or pass out from starvation.

Desperate times indeed.

Agreed! She went through a lot. For that reason, I always wondered why she kept the surname "Spector." (One of his sons changed his own name to "Specter" in an attempt at sad irony.)

I don’t think Phil was all together. Some of the weirdness he showed during his trial should prove that.
The man had mush for brains later in life. His wall of sound was a good sound and he wrote and produced some good tunes, but later in life, I think the man couldn’t get over himself.

I saw a documentary on Spector and indeed he wasn't all there. The wigs alone made him look nuts. But it was the shooting of Lana Clarkson in his own home that finally brought the "crazy" to the surface.

Interesting. My nephew and a sister recently flew Turkish and had the same opinion.
I can remember back in the late 60's and early 70's when we'd fly domestically on THY-Turk Hava Yollari (Turkish Airlines back then). You'd be lucky if the stewardess walked down the aisle with a bowl of hard candy. And if you got that, you'd have to fight off the goat somebody had brought along as their....uh....support animal.

Think I'm kidding? The saying back then was "Fly and Die on THY"
