Yesterday, a neighbour gave me bunch of beetroot because he and his wife are off to France for a month. I've got it simmering away now and I'll have some at lunchtime, but what should I have with it?

Update....

I had some smoked haddock and crusty bread with my beetroot and a couple of 'bakewell tarts', all swilled down with a few cups of tea..... I'm rather full now. 😊
 
Goodmorning all of you lovely people. 😊

It's a beautiful sunny day here, I've just been around the garden and greeted all of my growing friends, gave one or two of them a little haircut too.
The bees are at it again, covering the hebe bushes, I reckon someone has hive for these buzzie beggars and is making gallons of honey from mine and other folks gardens. 😊

There's a private spot at the top of the garden where I sometimes have a little pee, but this morning my pee was bright pink, shock, horror, then I realized it was all that beetroot I ate yesterday. 😊

Enjoy your day, wollow in the sun if you have some, do that Gene Kelly singing and dancing routine if it's raining...... or...... sit looking out of your window with a tub of ice cream. 😊
