Good morning, day, afternoon evening, night, happy whatever etc. #6-New !

I found myself talking to some young children earlier today. They were great-grandchildren and their friends playing in the garden of an old pal of mine.
They were asking lots of questions about those dark days of the war, when some clever soul suggested..... "Go and ask Tim, he'll tell you what you want to know."
A little girl said to me, "Mr Tim, when those aeroplanes were dropping all those bombs, did the people catch them in nets and then chuck them bombs into the canal?"
She completely caught me off guard with that question, and I have been smiling all afternoon at the thought of folk running about with huge fishing nets catching the bombs..... the innocence of children. 😊

Well, lovely people, this young fella is ready for bed, I'll probably dream about catching bombs. 😊

I'm waiting for a delivery and it looks like I won't have to wait long, the courier is only 3 streets away and it looks like 10 ton Tessie is the courier.... no, I didn't give her that nickname, it was a neighbour..... I'll explain: 😊

This very large lady delivered a parcel to a neighbour. The neighbour asked the courier (10 ton Tess) if she could help her bring the very large parcel into her hall. The courier obliged, but accidentally, one of her heavy boots stood on one of the neighbours bare feet, and, the neighbour claimed that her foot resembled a frying pan afterwards. 😊
