I have plenty of dogs, but a Viking Boxer dog is a welcome addition. Well, my daughter visited Iceland and sent me this postcard a month ago. Obviously, it went by ship around Cape Horn, or perhaps by USPS Pony Express across the continent. She also gave me the bath towel on the right side. "Opa" is German for Grandpa (I am a German immigrant.) Underneath: My other daughter had made the large blanket for me. All pictures show my beloved Boxer dogs, and my children "sock it to me." I also have other Boxer memorabilia, like this Boxer cup bought on the Swedish Mainau Island in Lake Konstanz, surrounded by Austria, Switzerland, and Germany.

It looks like a 'not bad' day is outside my window, still a bit damp though.

The house is warm, I've got my Mickey Spillane book open where I left off, and, I've got a big wedge of buttered toast and marmalade, and, my mug of hot tea...... what could be better?
