I already know that movies about "real life happenings" are "off" at best, but this was a good flic. And the really good thing about it, was to make me realize how I need to pay attention to things that happen in the world, to an extent, not drown myself in the negativity of it all.
Argo was excellent in my opinion. In the 1980 ish, including all the 70s, I was submerged in the bar scene, alcohol and generally, in a daze
So I barely remembered hearing about the hostages in Iran at that time. What a great story, and I do recall Canada stepping up to bat, wow, I love Canada, just one of the reasons.
Anyway, worth a watch if you haven't seen it. I read all about the true story after the movie, and the real people involved. I guess it's better late then never on "news", or better yet, history. I do think they deserved the awards they got for the movie
