For me the best fast food values have become any of the large full service super markets in my area. They all have what amounts to a food court as well as several ready to eat options scattered throughout the store.
the prices are even higher now. it's actually cheaper to eat at home.It must've been about 9 or more years I went to Wendy's. I got one of their vanilla frosties and shared it with my dogShe loved it . It was good. I can't recall getting a burger
or anything else. The prices were pretty high.
is it really a sundae with no toppings? four dollars is ridiculous!I just had a Big Mac a couple days ago. We were celebrating, marking an occasion for our family and that's what we chose as our "fun food."
I had a Big Mac and a Hot Fudge Sundae. I love the light, soft serve vanilla ice cream Mc Donald's uses.
We didn't order fries, but had tater tots we air fried at home because, since they stopped using beef fat, Mc Donald's fries just are not good anymore.
It's fun to have on special occasions. And what I like about McDonald's is that the food is always exactly what I expect it to be.
Note: However, on realizing that a Sundae plain is $1.69 and a Sundae with a pump of hot fudge is over $4, I'll be ordering plain when we have it again and buying some Smuckers Hot Fudge Topping. (That even comes in sugar free, which might be worth trying.)
Alas, we don't. But good to know if I'm ever traveling.@Medusa, I don't know if you have a Steak-N-Shake near you, but they went back to frying fries in beef fat.
I know, right? Yes, just vanilla ice cream and a pump of hot fudge. Sheesh.is it really a sundae with no toppings? four dollars is ridiculous!
I go to the grocery store deli too, to pick up fried fish, chicken tenders, etc.I’m sure that we could probably find another click bait sort of an article giving tips on how to navigate Wendy’s menu for a healthy meal on the go.
I was never a Wendy’s fan, for no particular reason.
I go to McDonald’s a couple times a year or have a slice of pizza from a national chain.

But Sundays are the only time I eat out with friends, and we take turns choosing. When Wendy's is picked, my only options are (1) don't go (2) get something else on the menu. It's usually option 2. I really don't want to give up the socialization.
I like Macdonald's dependability when I'm traveling, too. Their breakfast sandwiches are what I love, and Hubs likes their fish sandwiches.I just had a Big Mac a couple days ago. We were celebrating, marking an occasion for our family and that's what we chose as our "fun food."

Arby's has gyros? We'll need to try those at some point.I like Macdonald's dependability when I'm traveling, too. Their breakfast sandwiches are what I love, and Hubs likes their fish sandwiches.
Wendy's is our closest fast food restaurant so we go there occasionally for something really quick. My vegan son likes being able to get a baked potato with broccoli there and I like their chili. Sadly, their small chocolate Frosties are now the size of a shot glass.
Burger King has the Impossible Burger for Vegans so that's a plus for them. I used to like their Whoppers but we found out during Covid when we had to drive them home that once they cool down all the good "flavor" is gone. Must be something they sprinkle their sandwiches with.
Our KFC has good chicken tenders and delicious pot pies, but they now have such a staffing problem it's not worth the wait.
Our reliable, once a week while out shopping place, is Arby's. Ours is always spotlessly clean. We like their gyros and their big turkey Market Fresh sandwiches on whole wheat. I like their French Dip sandwich if I'm dieting, it's filling and a nice clean 490 calories.
But I hardly ever eat fast food.![]()
