You've reminded me of something that happened to me in England. We have only eaten at McDonald's once and that was years ago in Sweden when we stopped for coffee. We asked for it to go and they gave us a weird look and served our coffee in ceramic cups and saucers with some pastries and told us to go out and sit at a table under a tree and enjoy the day. We did and both were delicious. Other than that we have managed to remain fast food free. I don't see us breaking that streak.
I ordered at one of the fast food places and when I was done the girl looked at me and said, "Tweeten?" I said "What?" She said (getting irritated with me,) "Tweeten?" I still had no idea what she was asking but the "Tweet" part made me think of something like chicken nuggets so I said, "Okay." In time she gave me my tray and it had no chicken, but that was fine, I gathered it up and left while she looked at me curiously. It wasn't till I'd been there about a year and heard a lot of "Tweetens' that I realized she was asking me if I wanted to eat in.
