Good news for some folks with medical debt.

I came across the following and was so impressed with the beauty of this lady's soul! I think you will be too!

I think the way they sell debt and how she decided to help this charity settle up to $800 million (and counting) in personal debt, is magnificent.

N.Y. woman clears $108M of other people's medical debt — after dying of cancer

Casey McIntyre's insurance kept her debt-free. Other patients, she soon learned, weren't as fortunate

i have heard a few of these stories where a person left money in will to help others with medical debt. Not as much as this one but that is a good cause to leave items to.
i often thought about a time my child had a serious surgery / illness and my work place.... the HR person ( who did not like me as i pointed out an error ) decided i was doing too well for the normal habit of co-workers donating money to help cost.

instead a group of co-workers who did not listen to her , brought a plant and teddy bear and cards ....
i was not mad at her assumption and knew i could pay installments of my portion of bill after insurance.

I have often thought after that if people who spend $$ on flowers / cards and such had a way to just donate money direct instead .......
i tried to think of a way clinic/ hospitals could take payments direct like put in patient name and whatever a person wants to donate and when bill is prepared later it would look like this. A person could be assured it would be used on the bill not a person scamming as is often the case with apps like Go fund me.

Total bill
-insurance payments/ adjustments
- donations in that patients name/ case.
then figuring patient portion.

Amazing story, incredible woman! May she be blessed with eternal paradise for her exceptionally thoughtful gift. It's so sad that she left not only her husband but her baby behind.
