Hi Ron, The one that I have, I made myself, it has mainly red
lights with some blue ones that were already fitted when I got
the panels and as I couldn't fit infrared lights, I have a different
Unit that is infrared only.
I have no idea what the one is that you bought, but I will assume
that it is a mix of red and infrared!
Use it for 15 to 20 minutes in the morning after a shower and stand
2" away, from the light, the closer, the better, you can lean on it if
you like, you will get 100% from the light and no reflection, every
2nd or 3rd day to begin with, then once a week, if you have pain
in a particular area, then give that more time.
If you touch the unit, then it will get soiled and need cleaning, a
damp cloth will do that, when it is switched off.
I used mine every day in the beginning for 30 minutes, after about
2 months I went to 5 minutes a week, with the red panel, same for
the little IR light, but I use that more often, it rub it on the skin and
it does take pains of all kinds away.
You said before, that you still had pain, I am sorry to hear that, if it
a joint that has the pain, or the lower back, then put it on the unit
for several minutes, maybe 10 to 15, each time.
I am sorry that my writings seem to be a bit uncertain, but I am just
explaining my own experience and wish that I could be more certain
about these lights.
They work differently for each person, I know of 3 other people, friends,
who bought the IR unit and they all swear by them, as I do.
In Austria at the bottom of the "Ski Slopes", they have little booths with
Red and Near-Infrared lights, you remove your shirt, sit down with your
back against the unit and put some coins in the slot, 30 minutes max, it
takes the aches from the skiing away.
3 Years ago, only, Athletes, The Military and Rich People, knew about this
Photo Bio Modulation therapy, so we are all still learning about it, I am,
my only "Guinea Pig" and I got some good results.
A friend who had eczema on the soles of hos feet got this therapy in a
hospital, once a week, his dose was 11 seconds, but am not sure if they
were using a laser, but I suspect that they were.
The UCL, who put out about red light therapy for eyesight, said 3 minutes
daily, in the beginning, now 18 months later, they say 3 minutes per week,
so it is a powerful therapy.
I really can't be more precise, Ron, but there are books on the subject now,
available from Amazon, unfortunately the one I bought is full of Technical
Detail, that is way above my intellect.
Experiment, it is after all just light, don't give up.
Mike.
