Good vs. Bad Behavior

You ever notice how anything you do that's good for you, be it exercise, better diet, prescribed or natural medicine, meditation/prayer/positive thinking, better habits, whatever, it seems like it takes forever (at least a month up to a year sometimes!) to see any good effects (if you ever see any at all).

But indulge in bad things? Look out! You'll notice the bad effects right away, like one-half of a nanosecond!

So unfair! :cautious:

The reason it takes so long is because as the rock rolls down hill you first have to stop it from rolling, turn around, and begin to push it back up the hill. As for why you see the effects of doing bad stuff quickly is because the view going down looks immediately much better than pushing up from the bottom.:(

It's true...this is why addictions are so hard to give up,..if people saw results quickly they'd more likely be able to conquer things, like bad diet.. or no exercise..or smoking

True, I can't eat a slice of cake without putting weight on. I do it anyway, life is too short.

Most people do bad things because they are weak willed. They just follow the crowd or advertisers who tell them what to do or just want to fit in with everyone else. This is the majority of the world's population

Most people who do the right thing are strong willed people who have studied the matter and are strong enough to understand the right from the wrong. They are definitely in a minority group.
