Google Wants help to Improve (They Say)

I don't know if this is happening elsewhere, but it started
a few days ago, my elderly Google Pixel Phone, after any
call, in or out, produces a little window under the name of
the other party, "Help us to improve", it says, tap on it and
get, "This will send info about the call to Google, including
system logs, a transcript and audio, up to the time that you
joined the call." there is a link, (Learn More) at the bottom
of the window, are, Cancel, Continue. I always click "Cancel".

I didn't click the link, to learn more, I don't want them to be
able to monitor each and every call on my phone, though,
I suspect that they do randomly.

Do any of you, who have Android phones, experience this,
or is it just here, in the UK?

Mike.

My Android is 2 years old, so I don't know if that's "elderly" (your word describing your phone) but I get those notices too and just dismiss them. I can't imagine anyone wanting to send information to Google about their personal phone calls.

My phone does a number of things I dislike, such as automatically installing a game of some sort when I do an update. I always promptly uninstall any new app that automatically installs.

I would call a phone elderly only if it were no longer eligible for updates, which is critical for security. My Google Pixel 7pro is over 2-1/2 years old, so I guess it is "middle age" as it is guaranteed to receive 5 years of updates...unless of course Google reneges on it's contractual obligations, which they are doing more and more these days.

My Pixel 3 phone really is elderly, I got it before
covid, I bought a replacement last November,
which turned out to be a waste of money nobody
could hear me very well and I had trouble hearing
them, it is an Oukitel, I took it to a repair shop, to
be told that nobody fixes them!!!!!!

i am looking for something better.

Mike.
