Got a spam email allegedly from Norton antivirus

This afternoon I got an alleged email claiming to be from Norton....saying I was due for renewal, and call this number to renew for abut $450 for 4 years.
One...I knew it may be fake as I am on auto renew. And two...I do not renew until December. Had to do a lot of looking on Norton Site for a number to call to actually speak to a rep and not a bot. Yep....it was fake as I suspected. The rep asked me to forward it to their spam department
No other reason for posting except as a reminder that if it seems off...check it out. And to go directly to the proper website for a number to call..and not to use the one listed in such an email

Thanks for sharing that Marie, good advice. I also have Norton. I internet is a scammer's paradise.

All my spam emails are filtered out and sent to the spam email folder. Only email from approved senders are put in my inbox.

Still, one should check the spam now and then, Mailbot is NOT infallible.

I got that,too! Never had norton. I also get spam daily saying my Prime payment info needs updating. After several complaints to Amazon they now have us filing a report and forwarding the spam....since that started now I get two a day....yesterday I got three! I have a new email system that says it has to"learn " what to put in Junk and Spam folders....its a slow learner.
