I've gotten several of these over the years; they all claim to have webcam footage of me watching porn and threaten to send said footage to my family and work contacts if I don't pay up.
I've never watched porn, so I know they're full of sh-t.
I just delete and block.
There are a ton of panicked Reddit posts from teenagers about this.

Yup, got another email just the same as Nathan. It was from a guy, Tremayne Mell , saying I was being blackmailed. He said I was spotted going into girlie sites. What a relief!!!!!!!!
I thought he might have found the bodies.

I'm so sorry that happened to you Nathan! You were smart to talk to your son about it. That email was very ominous and would have scared me but like @fuzzybuddy my online activities are PG. I would definitely report it to the FBI cyber crimes unit due to the nature of the content. Thank you for the link to check if our info has been compromised.

We recently had a scare from a fake process server. After the initial alarm I realized that a real process server wouldn't waste time calling us to say that we are going to be served and arrested, etc.

They are coming up with new ones every day! The fake process servers actually had my husband's work number and phoned him there. Once I figured out it was some kind of scam, I had fun repeating the same answer over and over again when they called back. I just kept saying, "I don't know what you are talking about." They haven't called again.
