How do I look? It is an HP Pavilion. It has a 14in screen, rather than the old 17. But I do not mind. I have 8gigs, too. Should run faster. My old had fewer, and could not do video chats. Now I can, yay.
Be back later. Have to finish setting up all my sites.

Enjoy your clean machine!

So far, I kind of like it. At first I did not like that the keyboard backlit as I was typing Made it harder for me to see the keys, as the laptop is silver in color. But I figured out how to turn the backlight off, and now it is better.
I do like that the screen is smaller, since I use it on my lap, rather than a table. Easier for me. I still have not gotten around to transfering all my important docs over from the old computer to this one. But that will happen. As I type this, I am remembering I need to link my printer to this.
I am keeping the old one as a back up, but I still want to move some things over to here.

Hi Marie, glad you are enjoying your new laptop
When I bought my HP 14 inch Chrome laptop last July at Best Buy,it took me a couple days to adjust to a smaller screen. The 'geek squad' tech,Patrick came and transfer my account from my 8 yr old HP Windows 7 computer which had a 20 inch screen. He took everything except the hard drive
I do like the keyboard on my laptop, its much easier for me to type

When ever but a new laptop always use and recommend Decrapifier.
PC Decrapifier is a free software designed to suggest and remove unwanted Windows programs. It can be used to clean off most of the annoying software that is typically shipped with new PCs. The PC Decrapifier is a free tool that helps remove unnecessary startup items that can slow down your PC especially all that trial stuff ,Norton for instance It takes you step by step, giving you recommendations on what to remove, many of which can be removed unattended. It can help you speed up that process, saving you lots of time! Just run it right off a portable USB drive. There's nothing to install!
Probably not allowed to post download link here so just Google it.

I have always been an HP person, especially with the printers. My wife has a Dell, which I bought for her just a few years ago. She didn’t like the HP’s. This Dell has an SSD, which runs much quieter.

My HP laptop has all the buttons whistles as does my desktop. That’s just the way I roll. I did not buy either of them with the touch screen. I absolutely abhor those things. Even using this iPad with the touch screen is annoying to me.

Have fun enjoying your new computer. It’s a lot of fun starting with a clean machine and moving your documents, pictures, etc. over to the new machine. It can also be very gratifying when everything turns out well.
