Julia Lee Kelley is the matriarch of a large South Carolina family – 173 descendants in total. Kelley has five children, 30 grandkids, 88 great-grandkids, 49 great-great-grandkids and one great-great-great-grandkid, according to one of her great-granddaughters, Kelley Oakley.
Wow! Those Kelleys sure believe in being fruitfull and multiplying! My husband's surname was Kelley until he took his Muslim name. He had about 75 grandchildren when he died. We didn't have any children together so they were my step grands. Along with my son's 5, that means I had about 80 grandchildren and don't know how many great grands. My son's children do not have any children. And like her family, my husband's family is very family oriented; a very close knit family. He also had lots of nieces, grand nieces and nephews.
God bless her for reaching her 100th and being celebrated in that way. She looks cute in her tiara and does not look to be 100 years old! So nice to read.
