A little off topic, but I remember back in ‘73 when David Akeman, aka “Stringbean”, was killed by the two Brown brothers. Grandpa Jones took his death very hard. I have read stories, especially from Lulu Roman, that GJ suffered terribly for weeks before being to again act as his old self.

I’m a fan of the old style Bluegrass, so Grandpa Jones is one of my favorite storytellers. My favorite was/is “Old Rattler.”
