Before High School he was always in trouble for not making his bed each day.
He was with me and told me he just hates doing it.
I asked him, which feels better to you at night:
1. Having to be tired and you have to clean all the stuff off your bed and get into a rumpled sheet and blanket mess
or
2. Pulling back the covers to straight crisp sheets all clean and neat?
He smiled and said The neat one. "Then do it for yourself, not because you were told to"
Now in college and his first apartment share with buddies he thanked me for that advice after all this time.
Says he gets into a clean sweet bed and smiles as his buddies are grumbling while they have to put their stuff away before bed now.
Things that make you smile come from out of the blue.. love it as they pass through.
