The little girl was so surprised and reminded me of my daughter when I got her a kitten when she was 7 years old. In the beginning, the boy looked like he was faking the crying a bit, but later, I think it hit him that he actually had a puppy to look after. Most kids love pets.

Dogs are SUCH a joy! Couldn't live without 'em, and wouldn't want to try. I'm especially partial to dogs of the labrador retriever persuasion.
