They got married on January 30th, but due to extreme tiredness the days after, then coming down with COVID, I was not able to mentally and physically handle sitting here to compose this thread and choose the photos until now. The wedding day was crazy. Things didn't go as planned for for the bride, groom, my youngest grandson and Honorary Son #3 (HS), who was supposed to take my grandson and me. The timing was way off for the couple who helped set up.
An hour after the wedding was supposed to start (6 p.m.), my son and grandson were here changing into their clothes. Grandson's mom was supposed to bring him here from work, but she had to work late so he took the bus to the hall. HS had to work late, then had car problems, so he didn't even make the wedding. Turns out my son being late worked out well for my grandson and me, otherwise I would have had to take an Uber a few towns over and bring GS's clothes. It was very cold out...around 6 degrees and there were mounds of snow everywhere as well as patches of ice, so getting around was tricky.
More guests showed up than the 77 who RSVP'd so someone had to find seats for my grandson and me. I walked in the door dancing because that DJ was playing some great music! I was immediately greeted by my son's half sister, who was standing, but made sure someone found me a seat. The ceremony didn't start until 8 p.m. I wished I had gone to the restroom first because the Minister's prelim message before starting the exchanging of vows, was long!
The bride was walked down the aisle by two of her sons. Everyone was more than ready to eat after the ceremony and obligatory dances. The food was very good. My son's other half sister made the wedding cake and individually packaged Bischoff desert treats that went like wild fire. I didn't even get any cake which was fine because I'm not a fan of red velvet; my Bischoff chocolate mousse treat was delicious but I wished I had gotten the banana pudding one, which I had thought was vanilla parfait. After eating, I stayed on the dance floor. Even the DJ came over and danced with me. Despite the late start a great time was had by all.
You wouldn't believe where my DIL got the gown from. She made the beautiful veil, which had glittery material at the end of the train.

After the rings were exchanged, a white cloth was placed over both their hands. I don't know the significance but that's what she's holding.

My grandson and me.

More pictures to follow. I'm waiting for my son to send me the photographer's pictures.
