Seniors are well respected here in Ikaria Greece. They remain active with daily chores and live very social lives. They drink wine and eat good food, they have little dementia, depression or physical diseases or conditions. Many stay working and are romantically active well into their golden years.

Beautiful Greece,I miss it.
Ikaria
I don't know what it is,maybe the simplicity of life, nature.

I want to run away.

The scenery,wow

Could we at least sample the wine?

As long as we don't overdo the ouzo. That stuff is deadly, as I learned to my regret at a Greek wedding I attended in my misspent youth. And, it will give you a hangover far, far worse than your most grim imaginings. I've never touched the stuff again, and I cannot even bear the smell of it even now, some fifty years after the fact.

I love the smell of Ouzo, having some mezedes on the side, nomnom
Grillled Octopus
The tea they are mentioning, does wonders.
I become nostalgic when I think of my life in Greece.

A more stationary life and all these processed foods have made us worst.

Yes Annie,let's do it.lol

Yea! Partaaaay!

I wouldn't want to live in Greece because they are in big trouble financially. Although if my money is in UK and US banks it wouldn't matter much.

I believe that what was said very much.. Especially the part of family cherishing them and keeping busy mind soul and body. Now I need to go back again. When I see the sun, ocean and the food there is no place like it.. "στην υγειά μας"
