Greetings from Papa in Maryland

My grandsons call me Papa, so I'll go with that. I'm currently living in Maryland, but my Air Force career took me all over, beginning in Vietnam in 1966 and ending in Maryland in 1987. I took a second job after my AF retirement, and retired from that one in 2007. I am originally from northwestern PA, from where we were forced to move because a dam constructed across the Allegheny river destroyed our beautiful valley.

I find myself fully invested in retirement. I stay very active, and a 70 look forward to many more years working in my lawn and guiding my grandsons into the future.

Welcome to the forum Papa, from the central California mountains. Several years ago we spent a couple months in a small town outside of Baltimore while my husband was on a job. Maryland is so beautiful!! But I must say, it was the coldest I've ever been in my life, the day we were leaving and trying to get from the rental car with our luggage and to the airport. I thought that walk was never going to end. :)
