I was born in a tiny town called Wansted in Essex, England . Lived there till I was 4 then moved with the Family to Canada in 1958, then to the USA in 1961, then back to England (Cornwall) in 1973 , then back to the USA in 1974 by myself . Havent been back to England since. I love living in Northern Florida even though you have to keep an eye open for big snakes and Alligators in large bodies of water --- its far worse in southern Florida though.

Wanstead is no longer part of the County of Essex..it's now part of the London Borough of Redbridge, so now you can truthfully say you were born in NE London

Welcome, and here in Arizona we also have wonderful weather. In our mountains you can find some snow but here in the desert, no snow, sunshine WITHOUT humility.

Hi Dave, good to meet you!

Welcome Dave from drizzly but not cold west Scotland! I went the opposite direction from you - US to UK. And lived in Jax, Florida for 4 years as a child.
